Aged 79 years and technically qualified in the field of Textiles with an educational qualification of LTM. He has vast experience of about 35 years in the Textile Industry and 15 years experience in the Wind Energy Industry. He was a Whole Time Technical Director of M/s. Sri Sakthi Textiles Limited, Pollachi during the years 1971 to 1977 and was the Managing Director of M/s. Sri Bhagawathi Textiles Limited, Chittur, Kerala, during the years 1977 to 1995. The above companies are the flag ship companies of the Sakthi Sugars Group, Coimbatore, Chaired by leading Industrialist Dr.N.Mahalingam. Sri.R.V.S.Marimuthu was also the Managing Director of M/s. Arul Mariamman Textiles Limited from 1996 to March 2006. Sri.R.V.S.Marimuthu was the Chairman of the Indian Wind Turbine Manufactures Association (IWTMA) an all India Association of the manufactures of wind turbines during the years 1998 to 2000. He is also an Educationalist and a Social Worker. |
